Welcome to Rio Local Tour! By using our platform to request tourism services, you agree to the terms and conditions below. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.
1. Purpose
These Terms and Conditions regulate the hiring of tours, transfers, local experiences, and other tourism services offered by Rio Local Tour, for both individual clients and groups.
2. Service Requests

Must be made at least 48 hours in advance.

Requests can be submitted through our website, official email, or WhatsApp.

The booking is only confirmed upon partial or full payment.
3. Group Policy

For groups of 5 or more people, special conditions may apply (discounts, custom itineraries, multilingual guides).

A participant list must be submitted at least 5 days in advance.

Group cancellations must be made at least 5 business days in advance to be eligible for a full refund.
4. Payment and Confirmation

Accepted methods: bank transfer, Pix (Brazil), credit/debit cards, PayPal.

Confirmation will be sent via email or WhatsApp after payment is received.
5. Cancellations and Refunds

Up to 72h before the activity: full refund.

Between 72h and 24h: 50% refund.

Less than 24h or no-show: no refund.

Cancellations by Rio Local Tour due to safety, weather, or logistics will be either fully refunded or rescheduled.
6. Itinerary Changes

Adjustments may occur due to weather, safety concerns, or logistical issues.

Clients will be informed in advance whenever possible.
7. Client Responsibilities
Punctuality and Grace Period Policy
Clients are responsible for arriving on time at the agreed meeting point for the scheduled service. A maximum grace period of 15 (fifteen) minutes will be allowed after the scheduled time.
After this period, failure to attend will be considered a no-show, with no right to refund, rescheduling, or compensation.

Arrive on time at the agreed location.

Inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs beforehand.

Follow all instructions given by our guides throughout the tour.
8. Liability Limitations

Rio Local Tour is not responsible for lost personal items, accidents caused by client negligence, or delays due to traffic or weather.
9. Image Use Authorization

By participating in our tours, you authorize the use of your image (photos/videos) for marketing purposes, unless you explicitly opt out in writing.
10. Services for Foreign Tourists

We offer English- and Spanish-speaking guides, subject to availability.

Documents and terms can be provided in your preferred language upon request.

We aim to ensure a comfortable and clear experience for all international travelers.
11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Brazilian law.

Any disputes shall be resolved in the Court of the City of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
